Saftety at Home

So let’s talk about security. I sure want to feel secure in my home, when I go to bed at night I want to feel relatively safe so I can get a goodnights sleep. It’s one of the most important things your body needs. According to Mayo Clinic sleep deprivation can cause problems with the immune system make you feel foggy headed and grumpy. Long-term lack of sleep also increases your risk of obesity, diabetes, and heart and blood vessel (cardiovascular) disease. So you can see its importance.

I don’t know about where you are but crime in my neck of the woods is on the increase (from what I hear it is going up everywhere). As more people have their hours cut or businesses go “Out of Business” and people lose their job crime goes up. Just within the last couple weeks 5 armed robberies occurred within a 2 mile radius of me. And in broad daylight two thugs stole a senior lady’s purse away from her as she walked to her car with her groceries. Gutsy these two. Thank goodness she was not hurt and thanks to the police and K-9 units they found and arrested them and located most of her belongings.

Have you thought about security? Do you feel secure in your apartment or home? What can you do to feel safe? Here are a few ideas that I use.
